Chairman and Research Director: Professor Nikolai Petrovsky

Prof. Petrovsky graduated in Medicine in 1982 and subsequently trained as a specialist in Endocrinology at the Royal Melbourne Hospital. In 1998, he was awarded a PhD by the University of Melbourne for work on the immunology of type 1 diabetes performed at the Walter and Eliza Hall Institute of Medical Research. He is a longstanding Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Past management positions include CEO of the National Health Sciences Centre (NHSC) in Canberra (1998-2004), Chairman/Managing Director of Australian Innovation Limited (1996-1997), director of Cybergraphic Systems (1995-1997) and Chairman of Tasmanian Univalve (1996-1997). He is currently Director of Endocrinology at Flinders Medical Centre and Professor of Medicine at Flinders University. He has authored over 100 scientific papers, reviews and book chapters and is a regular invited speaker at international scientific meetings.
